Summers Trucking, is an Employee owned company, in business since 1946, with a reputation for providing safe and consistently excellent service to our customers in Pennsylvania and neighboring states. We have a modern and clean full service garage which handles all of our equipment maintenance needs.

If you are an experienced truck mechanic looking to join a great team, look no further.  We are currently seeking a Full-time Truck/Trailer Technician, (2nd shift  Monday-Friday; 2-10:30pm). 

What you'll do:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trucks
  • Service, repair and diagnose brakes, suspension, axles and electrical systems
  • Move trucks throughout the property
  • Operate specialized tooling and vehicles
  • Maintain proficiency in equipment and technologies that enhance our productivity
  • Properly document all equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations into electronic maintenance program/completion of paperwork.
  • Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure work area is always clean, safe, and organized
  • Interact in a respectful and professional manner with drivers and shop management
The ideal candidate must posses the following:
  • At least 3 years of verifiable diesel truck repair & maintenance experience
  • A valid Driver's License with clean driving record & Air Brakes certification (Class A CDL preferred)   
  • Basic hand tools required for heavy duty truck maintenance
  • Basic computer skills
  • A strong work ethic, teamwork mindset and great character.  Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. 
It would be great if you also have:
  • Diesel technical school diploma
  • Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC)
  • Previous or current ASE certifications
  • PA Class 3 Inspection license
